Benefits of becoming an affiliate

NCAP is committed to facilitating a network to assist groups in providing opportunities for freedom and change to people involved in prostitution. The following are some of the benefits from such a network:

  • NCAP facilitates the exchange of information, skills, knowledge and experience. This sharing works towards the overall competence of both individuals and organisations involved.
  • Information exchange leads to less duplication. This in turn can lead to faster progress and a greater impact is possible
  • NCAP can assist in connecting people who may feel separated in this field. This is turn allows individuals to see how their work problems are shared and addressed in various ways.
  • NCAP can help create the critical mass needed for local, national and international advocacy.
  • NCAP can bring together individuals with experience in the field and attempt to address complex ethical, developmental and practical issues
  • NCAP can provide peer support and encouragement
  • Affiliation

To enable the growth of an effective network we have launched a new affiliate scheme. The underlying principle of this new structure is an attitude of mutuality with shared responsibility instead of one where there is an expectation to solely receive. We expect that if affiliates embrace this way forward there will be an ever-increasing ‘shared pot’ which people can access and this will in turn assist in development across the board. In this way, our membership structure is working to fulfil our stated purposes.

    Affiliation Fees

There will be no direct financial fee for affiliation. Instead we would ask each affiliate to contribute to the network through actively giving time, experience and being prepared to share resources. NCAP is committed to raising external funds where possible to enable affiliates to focus on their own funding needs. There will however be an opportunity for affiliates to make a donation to the running costs of the network through an annual appeal.

    Application Process

To join the NCAP network, please , providing us with as much detail about yourself and organisation as possible.
